Dear FB friends & family with a specific call out to my fellow prayer warriors: Asking that each of you lift my family up in prayer. Last week my brother Marty was diagnosed with Adenosquamous Carcinoma of the Pancreas which is a rare, ag gressive form of Pancreatic Cancer. He is currently in Houston being evaluated by top oncology doctors / researchers and we hoping to have a new treatment plan in the next couple of days. Specifically needing healing prayers related to treatment plans and that his body will respond by shrinking his tumor. Also needing prayers of comfort for Carrie and their girls (Macey and Makayla) along with the rest of the family and Marty’s friends. Those of you who know Marty know he is a fighter and he is doing his part! Thank in advance for your prayers – Lisa (Marty sister

Wanted to share some good news on Marty's Treatments. Dr. Salem did new scans this week that show Marty's tumor has shrunk approx 20%. It's not small enought yet to be operable but are pleased with the progress to date. Marty is coming home today for Christmas but will report back to Houston Dec 27th.
Please continue your prayers for Marty, Carrie and the kids.
Thank you for your support and continued prayers.

11/11/2012: Update on Marty - He has a treatment plan that starts tomorrow in Houston. For this phase of treatment plan, he needs to be in the Dr. Office in Houston for the next three weeks (to administer meds and monitor side effects). Very little of his treatment plan will be covered by his health insurance, so we are currently organizing donation accounts and will post details tomorrow. Fundraisers are also being planned - please let us know if you have ideas or would like to help organize, solicit donations prizes, or if you know of a business or service that might want to donate goods.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support! |
